The Doctor, The Widow and the Wardrobe
Caretaker Manny Squishy-Face! I just can’t with the adorable of this!
The Doctor, The Widow and The Wardrobe? Is that to be a reference to a certain C.S. Lewis series of books? Hmmm? And then there’s the box that transports them into a wintery other-world (with a Fern Gully touch thrown in).
Wait. Is that what the Christmas specials are? Illusions to other children’s classics, or Christmas classics? Like The Lion, Witch and Wardrobe and A Christmas Carol? If so, YAY! I can’t wait until the Doctor gets a Red Ryder, carbine action, two-hundred shot range model air rifle and shoots his eye out!
And then there is Amy! And Rory! And they always set a place for him for dinner. OH MY HEART! And look at him, all being human and crying when he’s happy!
IT’S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE!
And with that, the 6th Series of Doctor Who comes to a close. I can’t decide which I loved more, Series 5 or 6. I guess it is mostly a tie, but here’s my list of favorite to least fave of six:
- The Impossible Astronaut
- Wedding of River Song
- Day of the Moon
- When a Good Man Goes to War
- Lets Kill Hitler
- The Girl Who Waited
- The Doctor’s Wife
- God Complex
- Closing Time
- The Doctor, The Widow and The Wardrobe
- Night Terrors
- The Rebel Flesh
- The Almost People
- The Curse of the Black Spot
- Deathmatch: Nanny vs. Daycare
