H is for Holiday!

Next week will be my time for reflection. Probably.

It is that time of the year, yes? The end… the beginning.

I’m just trying to get back on track after National Novel Writing Month followed swiftly by the Holidays–and random bouts of sniffles and whatnots from the bbs.

It actually was a huge (but awesome) coincidence that the middle of December was also when we landed on H on our Letter of the Week.

We had a lot of fun this month!

Hand Puppets

Trace their hands on cardstock, glue onto popsicle stick, supply them with glue and lots of varying objects to decorate the puppet.

Puppet I made from Froggy's hand print. Fun fact: after I gave him this to play with it came back to me with only two buttons and sopping wet. Oooops.

Stockings:

Turtle had great fun picking out different shinies and arranging them... not to mention the glue.

Snow Persons:

This was Monkey's creation. He ate about as many marshmallows as he used. Turtle didn't like the taste, so he finished much faster. :)

Another activity that I am ashamed to say has sadly been missing from our daily activity, but has now been rectified: READING!

We read:

Froggy’s Best Christmas

Pete the Cat Saves Christmas

and Merry Christmas, Strega Nona where we worked on the next week’s letter–I–and learned how to say Merry Christmas in Italian.

Buon Natale!
