Love it When a Plan Comes Together

Looking at a calendar today, I was shocked to discover, that even with all the delays, and sidetracks that happened this winter, we are STILL going to get through the alphabet before summer vacation. WOOT! Not only that, we are going to EXACTLY finish the alphabet. Z is for Zee End! Oh yeah!

Okay, I might be a tiny bit excited for summer. Even though I will miss some of my little ones. *sob*

But, enough of that for now. For we still have a few weeks to go and letters to get through. Like U and V:

U is for…

Umbrella

U is for Umbrella mobile with one side sunny skies and one side a rainbow.

and Unicorns

U is for unicorn. Even if Turtle thought they were a totally made up animal.

Sadly, Turtle really wasn’t really into doing projects this week. That’s okay, sometimes that happens. We still had fun and did a lot of other things that kept his brain working and learning. Also, Froggy learned how to give kisses that week, so it was a good one for me. He used to just present his forehead for kisses when I asked for one. Now he kisses like he does when he blows kisses. So basically, he sort of spits on you. Hee. It’s a work in progress, and still adorable.

And besides, the next week was V week and Turtle was back to his curious and enthusiastic self (and he also really loves superheroes and their VILLAINS)  so all was good. Besides villains:

V is for…

Vegetables

V is for vegetables like peppers...

...and potatoes. Now, every time I get out the paints, he asks where the vegetables are. :)

and VOLCANO!!

V is for Volcano! The directions I got suggested using old playdoh for the mountain part, but I didn't have enough handy, so I made my own.

And then we painted them. Turtle--all on his own--painted his green and brown. Monkey's was a Purlple Mountain Majesty. <3

And then MAGIC!!

And then MAGIC!!

Not surprisingly, THIS was FINALLY the project that they have actually asked (daily) to do again. SO MUCH FUN!
