Next Time Won’t You Sing With Me

The end of the alphabet. The end of the school year. The end of the daily Turtle and Froggy love until September. *sob*

But, we did get through the last letters in the alphabet. Sorta.

Wanna see?

W is for…

Watermelon

Cut a paper plate in half, color the outside green and rip up and glue some pink construction paper to the middle...

and Water

Summer time! And the living is easy! <3

and Wet

SPLISH!

SPLISH!

SPLASH!

SPLASH!

SLAP!

SLAP!

Okay, I know this is a cheat, water and wet are the same thing and also, didn’t we do rain when we were on R? Yes. Yes we did, but we went out in the rain to spot and investigate WORMS. Wouldn’t you know it, this is the one time EVER that they weren’t out in large numbers  right after a steady rain. Just our luck. But still… splashing! Puddles! WIN!

X is for…

X Ray (of course, I mean, what else is there really?)

Black construction paper, white chalk to outline the hand and then Q-tips for the bones. Easy-Peasy.

X Marks the Spot– AKA Treasure Hunt!

Left envelopes with X on the outside and inside a picture of their next clue. They ran around the house going from treasure to treasure until they got to the end. It was a lot more fun than even I had imagined. And at every stop Turtle would shout out "X MARKS THE SPOT!"

There weren’t any pictures taken of this because we were all too busy running around the house and finding things. Turtle was really into this game, and at every stop shouted out “X MARKS THE SPOT!”

Froggy was really into eating the M&Ms left with each clue. 😉 It was a lot more fun than even I had imagined.

Y is for…

Yarn

I had fun wrapping the Y sticks we've been collecting on our walks with Yarn...

...meanwhile Turtle had fun cutting the Yarn. But, please do observe how well he is holding his scissors. <3

Z is for…

Zebra (sorta)

We were going to try and make zebras like these found at Red Ted Art since Turtle has been having such a fun time with painting himself, and so has Froggy. And we were going to try and answer the age-old question, are zebras white with black stripes, or black with white stripes. But then this happened instead:

Yep. It's official. Zebras are white with black stripes.

Yeah, I don’t even know how… I blame it on being the last day of a really long and fun-filled year.

I can’t wait to see what sort of shenanigans we get up to next year!
